“I woke one Saturday morning with very bad toothache I knew that my regular dentist was not available   so I searched through yellow pages to find an “emergency” dentist in my area of south London/north surrey.   Of the six dentists I called there was no reply then   heard a friendly and sympathetic voice with a South African accent and I had an appointment booked for early afternoon.

The surgery struck me as being modern and designed with clean lines and the latest equipment. Dr Amir Kamburov made an immediate impression; competent, professional and reassuring.  He immediately diagnosed the problem. An abscess which had been a regular source of pain for several months .

In his own clear but sensitive manner Dr Kamburov suggested that my teeth needed to be looked after in a different way than in the recent past. He emphasised that if no action were to be taken then at my age, 66, my general health could be at risk.  Without feeling that I was under any pressure I returned several weeks later to have a full evaluation of the state of my teeth. A plan was drawn up, a cost estimate formatted and the benefits clearly listed.

Well the programme has been completed some six months later. This included a root filling, several crowns and an implant.

While in the chair Dr Kamburov and his assistant Ania show tremendous care that the patient suffers the minimum of discomfort. Furthermore after returning home after a really long session Dr Kamburov called to see if I was ok and not suffering too much. In fact through the seven sessions and afterwards I did not suffer hardly at all.

For many years I have suffered from headaches, jaw pain, tiredness, extreme left shoulder pain and forward neck posture problems. I was seeing a neurologist at the hospital and they were unable to identify the causes of my pain. Therefore 6 months ago, I visited Dr Kamburov and he informed me that I had TMD. Since I have started the treatment, my shoulder pain has considerably reduced and my posture has now become normal. I feel mentally clearer and active which means I sleep a lot less than I did previously.  Dr Kamburov has been a great support in helping me overcome what seemed to be long-term problems for me.
